Vince Giordano & His Nighthawks

and

"Uncle Floyd" Vivino

Friends of the Loew’s is proud to present a buffet reception, which will be followed by a stage show recalling the fun and glamour of the vaudeville era.

Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks – Booked for black-tie galas at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Public Library and the Waldorf Astoria, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks have become the most sought-after jazz band in New York City. They have performed at the Smithsonian, Carnegie Hall, the JVC Jazz Festival and Lincoln Center, and appear regularly at the Rainbow Room, the Carlyle Hotel, "21," and the Copacabana. The band's reputation for musical excellence has also caught the attention of Hollywood. In 2004, Vince and The Nighthawks were featured in a nightclub scene in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator. With loving precision, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks re-create authentic arrangements, transporting the audience back in time to the Golden Age of Jazz.

"Uncle Floyd" Vivino – Inspired by song-and-dance vaudeville performers from a bygone era, Floyd Vivino has crafted a signature mix of comedy and music that pays affectionate homage his home state of New Jersey and his proud Italian-American heritage. Born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1951, Vivino rose from child performer to become host of his own television show. "The Uncle Floyd Show," a mad-cap take-off on vintage "kiddie shows," initially developed an avid local cult following during the ’70s and ’80s, and eventually propelled Vivino into the national spotlight. Adding actor to his resume, the multi-talented Vivino has appeared on the big screen in several notable films and television programs. His first love, however, is performing live, which he still does about 300 days a year, making him everyone's favorite uncle.
