and Christopher Streets in New York, the Pavonia/Newport

From North or South -- the NJ Turnpike
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 15E. Following signs
for Jersey City, travel over the Routes 1 & 9 Truck Route
North (actually on this stretch you will be traveling east)
locally known as Communipaw Avenue. Pass over two draw bridges.
Stay to your left. Take the left hand turn-off onto the continuation
of Routes 1 & 9 North. Follow for approx.. 1/4 mile,
past a cemetery on your right, to the intersection with Sip
Avenue. There will be a "Wonder Bagel" shop on
your right at the intersection. Turn right at that intersection
onto Sip Avenue. Continue on Sip Avenue through the intersection
with West Side Avenue, where you'll pass a Rite Aide pharmacy
and then a "Win City" supermarket on your left.
Continue through the intersection with Kennedy Boulevard,
where you'll see a "VIP Diner" on your right. Immediately
after passing through the intersection with Kennedy Boulevard,
opposite the VIP Diner, make a left turn onto Tonnelle Avenue.
Take Tonnelle Avenue as it crosses back over Kennedy Boulevard.
After passing through that intersection with Kennedy Boulevard,
less than a quarter of a block further down Tonnelle, make
the first right turn you can onto Magnolia Avenue. This is
a somewhat narrow, two-way street that appears to be a dead
end. In fact, you will be looking at the side wall of the
Loew's at the end of the street. Travel down Magnolia until
you reach the Theatre; for parking, turn left into Square
Ramp Parking Garage. After parking, follow the red pavement
and "Walkway" markings alongside the Theatre; continue
on the walkway as it narrows to Kennedy Boulevard. Turn left
onto Kennedy and the Loew's entrance is a few paces away,
next to the "J.C. Police" station.
From the West and North -- Rt. 3 and Kennedy
Boulevard
Take Route 3 East and look for sign directing you to Kennedy
Boulevard. Follow sign to top of ramp, next to a "Toys
R Us" store. Make the right onto Kennedy Boulevard south.
Continue on Kennedy Boulevard for approximately four miles
to Journal Square. (Along the way, you'll pass: an "R & S
Straus" auto store, an "A&P" and a "Coach
House Diner" on your right, a restaurant called "Plank
Board Inn" on your left, a "Chevrolet & VW" dealership
on your right, a church with a tall clock tower on your left
and a "White Castle" restaurant on your right.)
As you enter Journal Square, you'll pass the nine story,
black and gray "ADP" office building on your right.
The Loew's will be about a half block down, on your right,
immediately next to the one story "C.H. Martin" store.
From the North -- Rtes. 1 & 9
Take Routes 1 & 9 South, also known in Hudson County
as Tonnelle Avenue. (Rtes. 1 & 9 South can also be reached
from Rt. 3 East. Look for signs that say either "Routes
1 & 9" or "Jersey City".) After passing
signs for the "Lincoln Tunnel" and "Rt. 3",
continue south on Rtes. 1 & 9 for approximately two and
one half miles until you reach the right hand jug-handle
turn off for Manhattan Avenue in Jersey City. (Along the
way, you'll pass a "McDonald's" on your left and
later an "Efficiency Appliances" on your right.)
Follow jug-handle around and cross back over 1 & 9. (There
will be a "Dunkin' Donuts" on your right and a
restaurant called the "Original Mana" on your left.)
Continue up hill on Manhattan Avenue to the second traffic
light past Rtes. & 9. This is the intersection with Kennedy
Boulevard. Make the right onto Kennedy Boulevard south. (You'll
pass a "Chevrolet & VW" car dealership on your
right, a church with a tall clock tower on your left and
a "White Castle" restaurant on your right.) As
you enter Journal Square, you'll pass the nine story, black
and gray "ADP" office building on your right. The
Loew's will be about a half block down on your right, immediately
next to the one story "C.H. Martin" store.
From New York -- the Holland Tunnel
Take the Holland Tunnel. After exiting the Tunnel, stay
to the left , avoiding signs for the New Jersey Turnpike.
After you pass the turn-off for the Turnpike, get over to
the right and follow signs for "Local Roads". Do
NOT continue to U.S. 1 & 9. Take ramp for "Local
Roads" and continue straight until you reach a "T" in
the road at the intersection with Kennedy Boulevard. There
will be a Mobil gas station on your right. You won't be able
to continue straight any further, and must make the LEFT
(South) turn onto Kennedy Boulevard. Immediately after turning,
you will see a "Chevrolet & VW" car dealership
on your right. Continue on Kennedy Boulevard for about six
blocks. Along the way you will see a tall, gray stone church
steeple and clock tower on your left and a "White Castle" restaurant
on your right. As you enter Journal Square, you will see
the nine story, black and gray office building with the "ADP" sign
on it. on your right The Loew's will be about a half block
down on your right, immediately next to the one story "C.H.
Martin" store.
Parking
Paid parking is available at "Square Ramp Parking Garage",
located directly behind the Loew's on Magnolia Avenue. Traveling
south on Kennedy Boulevard, continue past the Loew's to the
third traffic light. This is the intersection of Kennedy
Boulevard and Tonnelle Avenue. (It is the first opportunity
past the Loew's to make a right turn.) Turn right onto Tonnelle
Avenue from Kennedy Boulevard. Less than a quarter of a block
down Tonnelle, make the first right turn you can onto Magnolia
Avenue. This is a somewhat narrow, two-way street that appears
to be a dead end. In fact, you will be looking at the side
wall of the Loew's at the end of the street. Travel down
Magnolia until you reach the Theatre; turn left into Square
Ramp Parking Garage. After parking, follow the red pavement
and "Walkway" markings alongside the Theatre; continue
on the walkway as it narrows to Kennedy Boulevard. Turn left
onto Kennedy and the Loew's entrance is a few paces away,
next to the "J.C. Police" station. Traveling north
on Kennedy Boulevard, make a right turn at the intersection
with Sip Avenue. (You'll see a "VIP Diner" on your
right as you turn.) Immediately after turning onto Sip Avenue,
make a left turn onto Tonnelle Avenue. Take Tonnelle Avenue
as it crosses back over Kennedy Boulevard. After passing
through that intersection with Kennedy Boulevard, less than
a quarter of a block further down Tonnelle, make the first
right turn you can onto Magnolia Avenue. Continue down Magnolia,
as described above, to the entrance on your left of Square
Ramp Parking Garage.
A second option for parking is the "Kinny Parking Garage" under
the ADP Building, located directly on Kennedy Boulevard just
north of the Loew's.
